Paris is broken.

New Zealanders are paying the price for a climate agreement that doesn’t work.

The Paris Agreement sees us plant pine trees across productive farmland, punish efficient farmers, and pay more for power and food – all while other countries increase their emissions every year.

It’s a raw deal. Farmers, families, and businesses are being punished, while the world’s worst polluters get a free ride.

ACT says enough is enough. We should not be shackled to an agreement that sacrifices New Zealand jobs, prosperity, and food production for no meaningful environmental gain.

We need a climate policy that is practical, science-based, and focused on real outcomes – not costly symbolism. That means fighting for fairer terms, and if we can’t get them, leaving Paris behind.

We need your support.

“I’m backing ACT’s call for a better deal on climate policy. If New Zealand can’t secure fair terms under the Paris Agreement, we should leave.”
